The Paragliding World Cup at Bir Biling, Himachal Pradesh, will take place from November 4 to November 10. The championship dates have been announced by the Paris-based Paragliding World Cup Association (PWCA), which is in charge of planning these international adventure competitions, according to official sources on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Baijnath SDM DC Thakur, who is also chairman of the Special Area Development Authority (SADA), paid a visit to Bir-Billing to assess the event’s preparations.

Anurag Sharma, President of the Bir-Billing Paragliding Association (BPA), said today that the association has started planning for this significant event. He claimed that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has offered the BPA full cooperation in organising the event.

The BPA president stated that more than 300 foreign and domestic pilots are anticipated to attend the event. He stated that the state tourism department will be a partner in the event.

Kishori Lal, MLA of Baijnath and chief parliamentary secretary, stated that the paragliding championship will benefit Kangra’s tourism economy. The chief minister has already announced plans to establish the area as the state’s tourism hub.
